Best advice I got when I got my tall Docs, “Now you can wear socks *under* your fishnets, and nobody will know!” Changed my life ;-)

Never remembering that going for an extended stroll (like, say, 15 blocks home from the “neighborhood” thrift store) while wearing fishnet tights means that by the time you arrive home? The soles of  your feet may feel like they’ve been lightly scoured with a cheese grater. 

(Ouch, dammit! But I did find good things at the thrift store, so I’m calling it a win.)

Things I have learned lately:

• Selling jewelry at cons is way more fun when one of your booth bunnies is a puppet.
• Choosing to make more shiny things for con rather than fight with my camera for three weeks is a good decision.
• Me and my friends are approved for vending at Steampunk World’s Faire!
• Industrial music goes really well with sewing machines.
• Am still terrified of vermin, and one sighting can leave me afraid of my own home for weeks.
• A building can have a massive flood, even twelve stories above ground level.
• I am done with mono, but it is not done with me yet.

So life is not terrible, but some setbacks have sent me back to spoon-counting and not having a social life. Many projects have slowed back down to a halt, like they had four months ago. Quite disappointing. Not sure how to fix it.
