smart-and-trashy:

I just made a gif edit of this amazing Rekindle Candle by Benjamin Shine and thought I’d share the non-animated version as well.

"The Rekindle Candle is a candlestick holder which collects the melting wax to form a new candle.  As the candle burns, melting wax drips from the candle and accumulates inside the transparent stem where a length of wick is centrally located.  Once full, the new molded candle can be removed from the central section to start the process again."

IMG_6212Imbolc2014pt2 on Flickr. This is a longer term forecast for Imbolc, for a bit of different this week.
In the ‘questioner’ position, it looks like I’m getting my bearings to head in a particular direction, keeping in mind past journeys that didn’t go quite the right way, but that reflection also helps me set new trajectories for myself. And the current path doesn’t look so bad.
The “destiny” position is confusing. I’m not sure if the Fool has to choose between stress and relaxation, or one causes the other, or if stress is what I make of it. But again, Chrysilla on her own.
Past is pretty much as expected. Very fun, followed by more cautious fun. Future looks interesting, I hope it means getting certain projects off the ground.
And up the left side is … weird. It seems I might be better off figuring things out on my own for a while longer, and it may be good not to try and rely on other ppl for help right now, b/c my social groups have a lot of crazy stuff to deal with.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like I can help them either, b/c up top there’s a lot about breakups and hoarding and giving up. Otoh, it may mean breaking up with my old/current lifestyle, or my hangup on health, or something like that. Is it time to give up thinking I can ever be healthy again? Will things be somehow easier after that?

secretworkings:

an excerpt on the value of having a ‘magical imagination’.
I highly recommend getting this text because it sheds a light on one of the most important tools in this practice, and that is the magical imagination. Sometime we devalue our imagination to mere useless child’s play, not realizing that sometimes the logical or rational side of ourselves can be an obstacle to our magical success.

IMG_5475 on Flickr.Decided to start using my Shadowscapes deck for weekly readings, b/c I was tired of how drama-prone my Steampunk deck was.
…And the happy shiny faerie deck gives me a big dramatic macro reading. Interesting, considering that NOTHING IS HAPPENING in my life, albeit by design for right now. SIGH.
The Lovers doesn’t usually go with the obvious meanings for me. So this week looks like its about choices. There’s both wisdom and ickiness to be taken from my past, can I do one without the other? Will I have to cut off more things, but this time permanently? May also, as always, indicate that I uncover yet another evil piece of my health/wellness jigsaw puzzle.
